Our Playground is made from recycled material on a "pour and play" rubber mat material. No sand or mulch to get dumped out before going home.
Our entire air conditioning and heating system has green features.
The curriculum is "Creative Curriculum". Our Director chooses the "theme" for the week (or two) and the teachers come up with their own lesson plan. This curriculum is also structured for children to learn through play and experiences, rather than solely upon "desk work".
We prepare nutritional meals on site that follow the guidelines of the usda food program. The meals are hot, portioned, and nutritious. We also have eliminated common foods that children are most allergic to, such as peanuts. Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack are provided. |

To even enter the
Cape
Coral Florida Daycare, you must enter your security code personally given to you. Once you have entered the front doors of the preschool, you will be required to provide your security access code once again to gain access to the next set of doors. Anyone without a previously approved security code will NOT be able to enter the school unless screened by our administrative staff. You may not enter the playground fence by the outside, as the fence only opens in the event of an emergency. The back door to the preschool when exiting the playground area is secured by a security code only accessible by Smallville staff.
Complete video camera system ensuring complete safety of your child at all times. There are 26 video surveillance cameras on the premises, recorded 24 hours a day. The cameras are in every classroom, hallway, playground and the parking lot. |
| Each classroom is color coded for the age group. Infants are yellow, 1 yr olds are purple, 2 yr olds are orange, 3 yr olds are green, and 4 yr olds are blue. All of our classrooms (except for the infant classrooms) have their own bathrooms, making potty training easier for the children, as well as the teachers. Each classroom
at our
Cape Coral FL Voluntary Pre-K Daycare has their own drinking fountain, child size sink for hand washing, and a cubby/locker for each child in their room. The center provides a sleeping cot and sheet for each child, which allows them to be off of the floor at nap time and allows them to sleep comfortably instead of the vinyl mats that most centers make you purchase. The sheets are washed weekly by the
Cape Coral
FL Child Care Service, or as needed. The parents are asked to bring their child a sleeping blanket and if they want, a sleeping buddy from home to make them feel more comfortable. All classrooms have developmentally appropriate toys, puzzles, books and activities. |
